Metro Caring is a non-profit anti-hunger organization in the City Park West neighborhood of Denver that welcomes the community to shop for free in the Fresh Foods Market, a grocery-store style market with culturally relevant, nutritious foods and hygiene products. Metro Caring also distributes vouchers for obtaining free Colorado State IDs, birth certificates, and driver’s licenses. To schedule a shopping appointment or home grocery delivery, call (303)-860-7200 during market hours. Vouchers are available during market hours without needing an appointment. Market hours are Monday through Friday 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m, as well as Tuesday evenings 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Metro Caring also hosts a variety of programming, including nutritional cooking and health classes, community gardening, volunteering, entrepreneurship development, and community leadership development. *Metro Caring is closed on the first Wednesday of every month.
