Metro Caring is a non-profit anti-hunger organization in the City Park West neighborhood of Denver that welcomes the community to shop for free in the Fresh Foods Market, a grocery-store style market with culturally relevant, nutritious foods and hygiene products. Metro Caring also distributes vouchers for obtaining free Colorado State IDs, birth certificates, and driver’s licenses. Metro Caring also hosts a variety of programming, including nutritional cooking and health classes, community gardening, volunteering, entrepreneurship development, and community leadership development.
