Anti-Human Trafficking Project

The Anti-Human Trafficking Project is integrated with the Rocky Mountain Immigrant Advocacy Network (RMIAN) in South Westminster, and works in collaboration with RMIAN's Detention and Children's Programs to support detained immigrant adults and youth identified as survivors of human trafficking. The Rocky Mountain Immigrant Advocacy Network Social Service Project is integrated with the Rocky Mountain Immigrant Advocacy Network in Westminster, and works to provide assistance, resources, and services for vulnerable immigrant adults with mental or behavioral disabilities, including: - Support for client well-being while in detention (psycho-social assessments, helping clients to cope with the stress of detention, and advocate for their needs - Educating clients and their family members about behavioral health issues - Assisting the development of clients’ legal cases (helping obtain letters of support and certain records, assisting clients to write declarations, and prepare for testimony in ways that reduce re-traumatization - Arranging pro bono forensic psychological and physical evaluations - Helping clients make plans for life after release from detention - or removal from the U.S. (drafting post-release plans for rehabilitative and other services, and/or making referrals to needed resources) Recursos En Español: [rmian.org/recursos-en-espaol](https://www.rmian.org/recursos-en-espaol) Visit [rmian.org/social-service-project](https://www.rmian.org/social-service-project) for more information.

The Rocky Mountain Immigrant Advocacy Network Universal Representation Project is integrated with the Rocky Mountain Immigrant Advocacy Network in Westminster and provides services that include: - Free legal representation to Denver residents detained at the Aurora Detention Center through the Denver Immigrant Legal Defense Fund, in partnership with the Vera Institute of Justice, Safety and Fairness for Everyone (SAFE) Network. - Work with the Colorado Immigrant Rights Coalition (CIRC) and other community groups and stakeholders to advocate for the expansion of universal legal representation in Colorado for persons detained by immigration authorities in Colorado and community members facing deportation at the Denver Immigration Court.
